Rabbi Bec Richman
Faculty

Rabbi Bec Richman (she/her) is a mama, artist, and educator based in Cleveland Heights, OH. A soferet (scribe), Hebrew calligrapher, and potter, Bec integrates Torah and creativity as an independent artist and community educator. She facilitates scribal arts workshops, community writing projects, and participatory Torah repairs in communities and schools around the country. Her pottery integrates hand-carved Hebrew calligraphy, expanding the landscape of handmade Judaica. In addition to facilitating the Jewish Studio Process independently and on the faculty of the Jewish Studio Project, Bec is building a Jewish community art studio in Cleveland. Her art and facilitation are rooted in the belief that creativity is inherently accessible, healing, and liberatory. Bec is a graduate of the Reconstructionist Rabbinical College and an alumna of the Wexner Graduate Fellowship. Her artwork can be found at kotevetstudios.com.
