Passover invites us into a journey of transformation — moving from narrow places toward expansiveness, imagining ourselves as if we, too, are stepping out of Egypt and embracing the profound gratitude of dayeinu — it is enough. Using the Jewish Studio Process, a unique methodology that blends text study, intuitive art-making, and reflective writing, this three-part series will delve into these core themes of the holiday. Through creative exploration in community, we’ll uncover fresh insights into Passover’s timeless call to personal healing and collective liberation.

No prior experience with art or text study is needed; just bring an open heart and whatever art materials you have on hand, from a pen and scratch paper to colored pencils, markers, or collage materials. For those seeking inspiration, consider gathering watercolors, a ballpoint pen, markers, crayons, colored pencils, collage materials, highlighters, or chalk. Be sure you have a journal or pen and paper with you for the written reflection portion of these sessions. Let’s prepare for Passover with hearts, hands, and imaginations wide open!

This series will be instructed by Rabbi Adam Lavitt (he/they), a spiritual companion, educator, and creative facilitator committed to helping people connect with their inner wisdom and explore what matters most.

Rabbi Adam currently serves as the full-time Director of Learning at Jewish Studio Project. Drawing from his background in pastoral care, education, and chaplaincy, Adam creates transformative spaces where people can deepen their connection to themselves, each other, and Jewish tradition.

Adam has served as a spiritual leader in congregations, college campuses, and healthcare settings. Ordained at Hebrew College, where he earned a Master’s in Jewish Education and the school’s first certificate in Pastoral Care, Adam also completed training as a Spiritual Director and became a Board Certified Chaplain (BCC). An alumnus of CLAL’s Rabbis Without Borders Fellowship and the JOIN for Justice Clergy Fellowship, Adam now works with the Jewish Studio Project, guiding educators, spiritual leaders, and seekers in integrating creativity and spirituality as pathways for growth and discovery.
