The Ripple Effect • Making Waves Powered By Art And Compassion

Sunday, February 16

1:45 pm - 4:00 pm

Location: In-Person, Los Angeles, CA

Cost: $11.44-$78.67 (sliding scale, including ticket fees)

We each wield more influence than we can ever truly imagine. Even if we believe that only dramatic, revolutionary action will have an impact, our simplest gestures can transform the world. In this workshop, we’ll explore how making art and generating compassion is transformative for ourselves and our communities.

Using the Jewish Studio Process, we’ll attune to experience the potential in our creative nature.

When we make gestures with art materials (aka ‘drawing’, ‘painting’, etc) we can create visible, tangible results. Maybe they’ll be worthy of a loving space on the refrigerator or to be seen in a museum... But consider that ‘making’ itself has power and impact. That your act of making those marks can go far beyond everything you will ever see or ever know.

In this workshop:

  • You'll use the creative practices of the Jewish Studio Process to expand your wisdom, understanding, connection, and renewal.

  • You’ll learn a means of generating compassion that create waves of change, opportunity, challenge and will make you more resilient for these times.

  • You’ll have an opportunity to come alive in an artspace with friends, some of whom you haven’t yet met.

  • You'll experience a renewed sense of self, community, wonder, possibility, and peace.
