Julianne Schwartz
Senior Program Director

Julianne (she/her) believes we can create a more compassionate world through strong community. Over the course of her career she has spent five years at OSRUI summer camp as a counselor, drama specialist, and full-time Program Director. OSRUI introduced her to the intersection of Jewish education, arts exploration, and immersive community that has remained central to her work as a non-profit leader. In Chicago, she earned a BFA in Theatre Studies from The Theatre School at DePaul University and went on to serve as a Teaching Artist and Camp Director at the Second City Training Center. These institutions developed her skills and passion for creating organizational frameworks for creative environments. Julianne was introduced to JSP when she moved to her current home of Los Angeles, as the founding Assistant Director turned Camp Director at Havaya Arts – a start-up Jewish overnight arts camp. Julianne is a member of Wexner Field Fellowship class 8. She can be reached at jschwartz@jewishstudioproject.org.
