8:00 pm - 9:30 pm ET

Cost: $140 (sliding scale)

Join us on a four-week creative spiritual journey through the Hebrew month of Elul in preparation for the Jewish High Holy Days of Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur.  During this season we open our hearts to embrace the new and shed the old, awakening our spirits as we transform and draw closer to the Divine. Together we'll delve into the unetanah tokef prayer from the High Holiday liturgy. Its refrain, "but repentance, prayer, and righteousness avert the severe decree," can be seen as how "teshuvah (return), tefilah (prayer), and tzedakah (justice) transform how we experience our lives.” We will connect with each other and to the potency of this time in the Jewish calendar as we reflect, release and renew ourselves for the year to come.

During these weekly 90-minute, virtual sessions we will engage in the Jewish Studio Process, a unique methodology combining practices from the field of art therapy with a reimagined approach to Jewish learning, to cultivate our inherent creativity as a spiritual practice. This series will be facilitated by K' Keshira haLev Fife.

Keshira haLev Fife (she/they pronouns) is a Kohenet (Hebrew Priestess) and a bi-racial, queer Jewish person who delights in serving as davennatrix (shlichat tzibbur), lifespiral ceremony/ritual creatrix, consultant, facilitator, teacher, liturgist and songstress. She serves as Founding Kohenet of Kesher Pittsburgh, Program Director of beloved, Core Faculty Member with the Institute for Jewish Spirituality, and also enjoys working with, Kirva, the Avodah Institute for Social Change, The Jewish Studio Project, and the Jewish Learning Collaborative, among other national Jewish organisations. Though both the lands of the Osage & Haudenosaunee people (aka Pittsburgh, PA) and the Gadigal people (Sydney, AUS) feel like home, Keshira and her beloved have been in an extended period of travel since January 2023.
